“Ex-girlfriends in the Age of Drones” juxtaposes artworks that consider perception, expression, and the scope of the visible in times when distance between places has been obliterated by the transmission of electronic signals. War is now waged by unmanned aircraft, controlled from thousands of miles away by operators using a video-game interface. It is now even more relevant to reflect on how we picture and manipulate the world around us, and on the effects of the supposed flattening of space.
